Order Takeout: Sam Raimi’s 1979 horror short ‘Attack of the Helping Hand’

Every once in a blue moon someone on this vast frontier we call the internets digs up an old Sam Raimi/Bruce Campbell buried treasure which somehow lands in my inbox. Take for instance today’s delight, Attack of the Helping Hand, which actually features Raimi in front of the camera (Campbell is credited as being behind the lens), and is about the kinda creepy Hamburger Helper gloved mascot turning totally creepy and terrorizing a young woman trying to make dinner:

Unfortunately, Raimi buys the farm, and teaches us all why we should buy generic, because all you’re doing when you buy a brand name is paying for the advertising anyway. Shut up, it does NOT taste better!
